3 TOP TIPS FOR LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR SUCCESS WITH FACEBOOK ADS!

Facebook advertising feels like the Holy Grail. It’s this magical place where dreams come true, fortunes are made and your products fly off the virtual shelves. Right?

Well, as you may know, that’s rarely the case. SUPERSONIC success can be achieved with Facebook ads, but a powerful ad campaign has many factors at play.

And that’s before you even open ads manager!

I’m going to share THREE of my FIVE tips here:

1 – Are you treating your organic social media like a small child?

No? Well you should be!

The Facebook Algorithm is like a toddler. It thrives on consistency and routine. It wants to know you’re going to show up regularly and give it your full attention.

A toddler wants to know that snacks will happen, lunch will happen, they’ll get a mid afternoon nap and woe betide you if you dare to mess with the bedtime routine – you’ll live to regret that one!

If you give organic Facebook what it wants consistently, then when it comes to spending your money in the wonderful world of bidding in Ads Manager, Facebook will favour your page over less consistent and engaged pages! Cool hey?

2 – Is your website an afterthought?

If your website is and after-thought then that’s something you will want to address.

Is it optimised for mobiles? No? It should be!

Think about where most people consume their social media, it’s on a mobile. You don’t want to lose your customers if they click through to your website and are met with a poor landing page and purchasing experience.

Do you have the Facebook Pixel set up? If not, make that a priority. There’s more info (here) on the pixel and it’s ninja powers. But, if you don’t have it – address that now!

And whilst you do so, make sure you have the appropriate cookies and privacy policies in place.

3 – Do you REALLY know your audience?

Make sure you really get under the skin of your audience. I know you’ve probably heard every marketing pro and their mate lining up to tell you that you need to refine your ideal customer, give them a name, a job, a family… but I promise it’s not all marketing preverbal, they’re telling you for good reason.

Why? Nail your ideal customer and your social posts, your audience building in Ads Manager, your ad copy and creatives will painlessly fall into place!
